The official start of summer will be here before you know it! It’s time for cold drinks, delicious treats, and local, fun, family events.

Kiedrowski’s Bakery trademarked their delicious pastry treat, the SnoogleTM and now they sell upwards of 100 dozen in a single weekend! People love the flakey pastry, the delicious cheese filling, and the sweet, sugary glaze. Opened in Amherst, Ohio in 1984, Kiedrowski’s Bakery has been voted America’s Best Bakery, 2011. Proud of their Polish history, this bakery uses tradition and innovation to produce the best baked goods around. And, if you can’t get to the best bakery in America, why not visit the best bakery in your town for a sweet treat that’s sure to beat the summer heat, not to mention, help heat up the local economy! Living local never tasted good!

We’re all saving money, but who wants to give up the indulgence of a nice glass of wine on a summer night? Not me! A great money saver are the new boxed wines! For about $20.00 a box (that’s equal to 4 bottles) you can enjoy a glass any time.  Once opened the wine stays fresh for about 4 weeks. A bottle, once opened, only stays good about 3 days max, even in the fridge.  So switch to boxed wine and save money and the planet (through less packaging). My pick is the Wine Cube’s Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz Blend. It’s a Target Brand and at $17.99, it’s a great deal for a surprisingly good wine.

Maybe you want to drink your wine and enjoy a sweet summer reality show like the Jersey Shore.  Or, maybe you’re sick of seeing American’s look like a hot mess.  If so, you must pour a nice big glass of boxed wine, grab a SnoogleTM, and tune in online to MTV UK’s The Geordie Shore, who proves it’s not just American’s who GTL (gym, tan, laundry).  So, put the kids to bed and check out this train wreck of a guilty pleasure that seems like a hilarious SNL parody of it’s Jersey sister show. Don’t worry, it’s the summer and none of your favorite shows are on anyway!
